Say Yes to Adrenaline

Located on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica, the Pacuare River borders the Talamanca mountain range, home to the native Cabecar Indians and an incredible variety of wildlife, including parrots, toucans, deer, jaguars, ocelots, monkeys, butterflies and much more. . Add the exciting white water rapids of Class III-IV and you will have a tropical adventure full of rich experiences that will last long after you have returned home.

Day 1

The adventure start leaving the capital behind; getting into the famous Braulio Carrillo National Park and it’s exuberant landscape of the rain forest…a delicious typical breakfast will wait for us in Siquirres; after this will drive mountain up to get to the put in place and get our gear… and then adrenaline will begin… we’ll experience the intimate nature of the rainforest as your raft right through it on class 3 whitewater. Pacuare River is rated by National Geographic one of the top 5 scenic rafting destinations in the world.

Riverside picnic will be set by your raft guides while you take a swim, after lunch, you will arrive at eco-lodge, time to relax and a cocktail before a delicious dinner.

Day 2

We will start the day with a healthy breakfast, then we get ready for class IV rapids on the lower Pacuare section to complete 19 miles of pure adrenaline in two days. After the take out place a short ride separate us from a hot lunch at the operation center… and then way back to San José.

What to bring: Extra changing clothes, towel, swimming suite/ swimming trunks, water shoes, water resistant sunscreen lotion, mosquito repellent & bottle of water.
