Keeping a life the traditions of our country…we are going to the visit an old sugar cane mill to experience the good old times of one of the products that helps to the beginning of our economy…located in a very traditional town just one hour and half far from the capital is San Ramón; a birthplace of very important well known people of our history like the ex-president José Figueres Ferrer among others writers, poets or intellectuals…”Lands of Poets” as everybody knows this county; form by 13 districts, today will be enjoying the one dedicates to the productions of sugar; calls “La Paz”(the peace); hometown culture, and where the famous “tapa de Dulce” born and all the story of the very traditional process take place…at the sugar cane mill of the Los Arias’s Family…one of the owner’s will welcome to us and will guide to us thru the whole process from a simple sugar cane to a delicious “agua dulce” to end  with some yummy local appetizers (“gallitos”).

We have one more surprise for you…a sweet “Tamuguita” to remember this family business in one cold day!
